New Me!

So, if you follow me on Twitter you'll know I've been thinking about going back to my natural hair colour for a while. It'll save me money as it won't need dying and what better than if I'm going back to the size I used to be, than to change my hair colour along with it too. Plus, blondes always have so much more fun! haha!

(Be warned this'll be heavily picture based and dramatic hair colours!!)

Before

Step 1

Bleaching it for the first time - this was put all over my hair apart from when my roots have grown out already otherwise they would've gone white haha! This was a length process as it had to be twice but just wait till you see the colour it turned out to be after this load of bleach...

This was the result of this bleach.. prepare for some bright colours!

Step 2

Bleaching with cotton wool round the roots. The cotton wool was ensuring no more bleach went on the roots because like I said before.. my roots would be white haha.
 Results:

My hair is just absolutely massive!.. I think I suit orange hair ;) haha

Step 3

I was worried about my hair at this point as it was STILL orange despite being bleached twice already! Step 3 is the dye and highlight part of it.. The foils are where the lighter blonde highlights are and the bright yellow dye is the rest.. But don't be alarmed.. my hair didn't turn out bright yellow haha!

Step 4

Washing off the dye.. Read to see the end result!
  End Look

I'm sooooooo happy with it! I feel like I'm myself again and its going to be an added incentive to lose weight and all.. All in time to go party in Newcastle for a flatmates birthday!

However, all this did take FIVE hours in the hairdressers! But I'm definitely not going back brunette again! Haha!

Dedicated to the Angels

I've been following a blog called Alice's Bucket List (see here) since I started this blog and its what first inspired me to write my own bucket list of things I'd like to do before I die.

Unfortunately, today, the 12th of January 2013, Alice has lost that long battle with the demon that is cancer and passed away to be among the stars. Reading Alice's blog daily was inspiring, seeing her write as often as possible around hospital appointments and her illness was brilliant and I someday hope to complete my bucket list in memory of her. Although, I didn't know her personally I still wanted to write this blog in memory of her and another teenager that has passed away from the same thing recently, Ashleigh.

It really makes appreciate what I have. My health, my success and my life. That might sound selfish to some people but these horrible situations make you realise what you have. I still can't believe that this time last year I was sat in an assembly all about Ashleigh, her friends fundraising for her. It all happens so fast.

Meal Out

Just a short post this time to share with you how I've been spending my last couple of days in Doncaster. Now some people don't return to uni till the end of January but I start up Monday again because I started my proper professional practice on 21st January so need to get some more lectures and seminars in.

Well unfortunately I was unable to go out for one of my best friends, Chloe, birthday as I was ill and suffering at home.. Therefore I met up with her last night and went out for a lovely meal for a good catch-up.

Here are a few pictures from last night, although I didn't take many because me and her just got talking for ages and although we went out for the meal about 5.30pm, I didn't get back to my house until nearly 9pm.. Just in time for CBB launch night haha,

Ready to go: dressed wearing my new coat I got for Christmas - fake eyelashes on although it doesn't look like it haha

My meal: Cajun Chicken Burger topped with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese with Chips and Coleslaw.. as you can see, I've took the tomato out my burger because I don't like them haha.
Chloe's Meal: 5oz Steak with Chips, Onion Rings, Mushroom and Peas - personally I don't like Steak as I only really eat Chicken but Chloe had no complaints.

My Pudding: Warm Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice-Cream
Chloe's Pudding: Syrup Sponge Pudding with Custard

Me when I got home
So the picture above you might be able to notice that I've started loosing weight and you can start to see it now, especially on my face, according my auntie and uncle haha - so happy about it!

Hope you've all had good Christmas holidays and if your off back to uni for exams or still completing assignments.. Good luck!

New Years Eve Celebrations

Now you can't see much in the picture above because I was having to take it quick because it was dead on midnight. This is our tradition each year at new years, we go outside as soon as the London Countdown hits zero and we stand in the middle of the street and sing 'Auld Lang Sye', its pretty funny. The first few years we did it other people from other houses joined in but now it just ends up being us but its still just as good, plus all fireworks are let of simultaneously.

My OOTN
Converse All Stars in Marroon
Primark Wet Look Leggings
Primark Black Vest Top
Primark Deep Wine Blouse

Sister's OOTN

Hope everyone had a good start to the new year!

Resolutions

Like I said, I'd be back in the new year with my resolutions...

Resolutions

1. Get more motivated to do university work
When it comes to work, I've always been a procrastinator and I wanna change that trait of mine. I've always done quite well under pressure but now being in university, I don't think that's going to be the case so I need to become more proactive with assignments haha.

2. Become less shy
I can already feel myself becoming less shy with most aspects of my life due to the course I'm studying. To be a teacher, I need to be able to talk to a range of people including parents, colleagues and children alike so my shyness needs to prevail.

3. Continue with cheerleading and loosing weight
I know most people will be like yeah, yeah.. Everyone's new years resolutions are to loose weight but I started this when I started the next chapter in my life, university. Cheerleading is something I enjoy to do so ensures I loose weight at a healthy pace and its something that won't get boring. I've always got myself a gym membership at uni and don't start to think I'll go all the time, because I know myself I won't but recently, when I've said I'm going to do something I have so this will get done.. I've already nearly dropped a dress size in four months so thats an achievement (and that was just with cheerleading once a week).

4. Be more sociable
I am a sociable person but I don't go out as much as I could at university and when I come home so I'd like to change that about myself and make more of an effort to party haha. But at the same time I'm not a big drinker so sometimes don't see the point in going out when everyone else is paralytic.

5. Become more stylish
I don't mean I look like a scruff all the time but sometimes I just can't be bothered to make an effort and sit in the house in my usual leggings, long top, hair in a scruffy bun, glasses and no makeup. So I want to make the effort to wear different colours (as I usually wear dull colours like black and grey with a deep wine red) that make more of a stand. Plus if I manage to loose the weight I want, I'll feel more comfortable in other clothes.

What are your new years resolutions?
